3 Daily Practices I’ll Never Give Up

I’ve tried so many routines in my life. Some lasted a week, some a month. Most of them just faded away. But a few stayed. They became part of me, like brushing my teeth or drinking water. And honestly, these small things keep me grounded when everything else feels like chaos.

Putting My Thoughts on Paper

Not pretty journaling. Just raw scribbles. Some mornings it’s messy, some days it’s only one sentence. But it saves me from carrying too much inside. When I leave it on the page, my head feels lighter.

Walking in Silence

No music, no podcasts. Just me, my steps, the street, the sky. It sounds boring, but it’s the one time I actually hear myself. Sometimes I notice silly little things—like the same stray dog always sitting near the corner shop—or the way the evening air feels different from the morning. Those walks make me feel human again.

Ending the Day With Gratitude

I used to roll my eyes at this. Gratitude lists felt fake. But one night I tried it, and I wrote: “good tea, mom’s call, no rain on my way back.” Simple. And I slept better. Now I do it every night. It reminds me that even on bad days, something small is worth holding onto.

These aren’t rules or perfect systems. They’re just small anchors I don’t want to lose. Because without them, I know I’ll drift.
